JEFFERSON B. STEWART

Jeff has been practicing law in the Greater Hattiesburg area for over 35 years.  He has previously served as Forrest county public defender, Hattiesburg City prosecutor, Hattiesburg Municipal Judge, City of Bassville Judge, City of Lumberton Judge, Covington County Family Master, and Covington County Youth Court Prosecutor.  Jeff has experience ranges from divorce to personal injury to criminal defense, and everything in between.  He’s primary focus now is personal injury, bad faith insurance claims, and criminal defense.  Jeff grew up in Hattiesburg, graduated from USM and obtained his law degree from the University of Mississippi.  Jeff is married to Mary Ann Rush Stewart of Greene County, and together they have three children, Taylor who is a Junior at USM and twins Rush and Justin who are seniors at Presbyterian Christian School.

L. JOE BEARD

Joe has served as Justice Court Judge for Greene County for over 30 years.  He also serves as the Town of Leakesville’s Municipal Court Judge, Solid Waste Referee and Hearing Officer, and is the former Attorney for Greene Rural Health Center Board of Trustees.  Joe has experience in criminal defense, personal injury, divorce and child custody, and wills and estates.  His focus is personal injury, domestic relations, DUI defense and car wreck and 18-wheeler accidents.  Joe is a lifelong Greene County resident.  He graduated from Mississippi College School of Law, where he won the Prestigious American Jurisprudence Award.  He also has a degree in Criminal Justice from Faulkner University.  Joe has three kids Luke, Joey, and Maggie.  He is a member of Faith Presbyterian Church and a proud supporter of Greene County Wildcats.

ANNA K. RUSH

LAWYER

Anna is the newest member to the team.  She relocated back to Mississippi from Washington, D.C. where she was serving as Legislative Assistant to Congressman Steven Palazzo of Mississippi. She handled appropriations as well as legislation on a variety of issue areas ranging from flood insurance to space exploration to healthcare. Prior to working in DC, Anna was a summer associate for Beard & Stewart, volunteered with North Mississippi Rural Legal Services, and interned for Senator Thad Cochran.  Anna’s current focus is Family Law, Divorce and Child Custody, and Government Relations.  Anna is from Hattiesburg, MS and a graduate of Mississippi State University  While earning her law degree from the University of Mississippi, she served as Student Body Attorney General and was a member of the Moot Court Board.
